CUBA: Delegation organized for Carol Browner, former US EPA administrator

Announcement Date: December 8, 2013

From December 8-12, 2013, CDA organized and led a delegation to Cuba for Carol Browner, former EPA Administrator under President Clinton, and former White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy Director under President Obama. Ms. Browner and her delegation traveled to Cuba with CDA on our people to people license. We primarily visited with Cubans and others in the non-state sector (artists, such as Obsesion and Carlos Varela; the head of the UNDP; Catholic Cardinal Jaime Ortega), visited the Zapata Wetlands, and spoke to a few Cuban officials who discussed their nation’s environmental priorities.
