CDA was proud to facilitate and join the historic visit of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities to Cuba (PCAH). From April 18-21, delegates visited Havana for a series of events and official meetings to increase cultural cooperation between Cuba and the U.S. in support of normalizing bilateral relations. The delegation included the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities co-chairs George Stevens, Jr. and Margo Lion and Megan Beyer, Executive Director of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities; National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu; National Endowment for the Humanities Chairman William Adams; and Smithsonian Secretary David Skorton. U.S. artists in the delegation included: Joshua Bell, Martha Clarke, Paula Crown, John Guare, DJ IZ, Lourdes López, Larisa Martínez, Dave Matthews, Kal Penn, Smokey Robinson, Usher, Alfre Woodard, and John Lloyd Young.
