TRIPS

Our fact-finding missions help policy makers understand the region and hear directly the aspirations of Latin Americans from every perspective. Trips expand our knowledge and build the network of people who feed and inform CDA’s work. Since 2001, our program has led more than 50 trips to Cuba, including bi-partisan delegations with U.S. Senate and House and their professional staffs for fact-finding and research. Trips to Cuba enable U.S. policy makers to directly experience the Cuban reality, understand the defects of U.S. policy, and hear what Cubans from all walks of life have to say about how they’d improve U.S. policy. In 2015, CDA led 14 trips for over 170 travelers including business delegations, women’s delegations, and congressional delegations. CDA holds people-to-people and research licenses to visit Cuba.
